Orbán to Zelensky: You are a man in a tight spot

Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán and Ukrainian President Zelensky got into a war of words after Zelensky's speech in Davos. Zelensky spoke on the second day of the World Economic Forum in Davos after his meeting with Donald Trump, and also mentioned Viktor Orbán, when noting that some leaders want to turn their capitals into mini-Moscows.

"Every Viktor living off European money while trying to sell out European interests deserves to be whacked on the head. And just because he likes it in Moscow, it doesn't mean we should allow European capitals to become little Moscows,"

the Ukrainian president said.

Orbán retorted on his social media page, saying:

"I see that we will not understand each other. I am a free man, serving the Hungarian people. You are a man in a tight spot, who has been unable or unwilling to end a war for four years. And that despite the fact that the President of the United States has given you all the help you need”.

He further added: "Despite your deliberate insults, the Ukrainian people can count on us to continue supplying your country with electricity and fuel, just as we will continue to help refugees arriving from Ukraine". He concluded his post by saying that life will take care of the rest and everyone will get what they deserve.

During his brief visit to Davos, the Hungarian Prime Minister signed the founding charter of Donald Trump's Board of Peace, before continuing on to Brussels for the informal meeting of the members of the European Council called due to mounting tensions between the EU and the United States over Greenland.
